384 - The Use of "dematerialization"

To all those and all those who still use the terms "dematerialization", "virtualization" and "capture" the documents by digitizing them, here's an interesting argument to consider. There is no more material than paper mail. It exists and has a certain permanence that by combining mandatory three components: binary data, software to interpret data and act on a support which can only be material.

When scanning documents, you transfer the information recorded on paper on technological support by turning it into binary data with the result that at the time of its creation of a backup copy in an electronic document. In the process, the virtual and cloud floats in the RAM of the computer prior to registration on the hard drive. Only in the short time that dematerialization and virtualization is a virtual reality that evaporates as soon as we turned off the machine.

As specialists, we therefore offer our support to organizations in the management units 100% documentary material. Failing that we could perhaps be described as "shovel cloud" ... digital.

This reflection was inspired from reading the book of Mark Phillips, Electronic evidence Quebec , Part I: Technology information, which I mentioned in a previous post .
