CHAPTER 8 - MOVING ON TO VICTORIA - 2009-04-28

Français

Bon enfin nous avons trouvé notre nouvelle destination: le Victoria, pour être plus exact a proximité de Ballarat. C'est un séjour
a la ferme, contre quelques heures de travail, nous sommes et loges nourris. J'espère que nous atterrirons chez des personnes sympas, they look nice in any case by mail;)

is a farm with horses mostly. And according to what people told us we should have the opportunity to ride horses, what happiness!

So our departure is scheduled for Thursday with a stop in Melbourne, bound for adventure. I look forward to the Australia side nature! The city is nice but I think outside the towns we will enjoy much more!

I'll keep you posted as usual.

Oh, I forgot to tell you that the job I did not accept, was to go door to door selling of charity, yes it checks pas trop vous me direz ensemble, mais ici c'est très en vogue!

German

And our journey continues: Victoria, near Ballarat.
We will spend some time on a farm, opposite a few hours of work per day, we get 3 meals a day and a bed. I hope that we will end up in a nice family!

In this farm there are mainly horses, should normally be the opportunity to ride the horses to be allowed to give! I'm curious!

goes On Thursday the journey starts with a brief stop in Melbourne. I'm really excited about the natural side of Australia. City life is nice but glaube ich draußen auf dem Land kann man noch mehr erleben!

Ich halt euch natürlich auf dem laufendem!

special dedication to Delphine. What slab it! The only question it raises is the food. Bravo! LOL

Then the food: no vegetables, lots of meat, no vegetables, meat, meat, meat oh yes I forget the sushi, meat, sushi, pizza.

But we try to eat fruit every day, melons and watermelons are awfully good. Tomatoes, when there are in the food are terrible too.
It's a pity he does not have a lot of vegetables in their restaurants. in stores there are full, but since we spend our time in hotels can not cook.

Otherwise there is a lot of McDonalds here, I have never seen so much in my life. what is fascinating here, in France or Germany, it is the young generations who go to McDonald's, here is all ages, even the older people.
So here, although obviously that is eaten better in Europe.

In short: you eat less than in France or Germany, but you eat better than England! :)

Mom, Grandma, your skills in the kitchen I miss! Sniff, Sniff! But otherwise it

good food so here is a small post on the subject. Dolphins seem to care about this issue burning, typical of the French: no vegetables, meat, no vegetables, meat, no vegetables, meat, oh yes sushi, meat, meat, sushi, pizza.

We try every day to eat fruit, the fruit tastes really good here, especially the melons. The tomatoes taste right after tomato, a feeling that we in Europe have almost no longer knows .... It is a pity that one here gets so few vegetables in the restaurants, shops like this in the place has a ton. If we ne kitchen, we could always something cooking, but if you just wander from hotel to hotel is not so convenient to cook .... right?

Otherwise, there are plenty of McDonalds here, I've never seen so many MacDonalds as here! We mainly young people go to MacDonald here you can see quite often the older generation to eat in MacDonald's, strange but was so my grandparents would never think of times on Sunday to go to McDonalds!

So you eat here in no way as good as ours at home!

Conclusion: you eat less than in France or Germany, but better than in England ('s not really a trick ...)

Mom, Grandma: I miss your cooking skills! Snif, Snif!

But we like it still good yesterday o)

CHAPTER 7 - FIRST JOB INTERVIEW - 22/04/09

French

Today I had my first interview at the Australian, it was somewhat interesting if not disturbing. I thought I already have a traditional interview, go to the worst 2 or 3 people in front of me, well, no!
When I arrived there were about 20 other candidates who were waiting. Good. Disturbing.
Our "Guru", which we call "leader", is finally himself who is so named, brings waves of people 10. We're all sitting around a table and must come forward and try to put one before the others, especially as maintenance.
In any case I make a good impression because I have my famous phone call tonight, except that although I had forgotten my laptop to the hotel .... Normal is all I spit ca.

I call tomorrow, at least I am not sure I want to do this job, they are a bit vague and I think I will eventually find me in the street sale of "charity", the Anglo- Saxons are very fond of ca ..... more here in Australia, when making a donation you can recover the full amount of taxes, so it as if we had not worked .... weird but true and apparently practiced a lot.

So voila, suspense and see what they say to me tomorrow on the phone. I hope to get feedback from other applications that I do, I like that as an excuse to say no to our "Guru". The problem with this kind of maintenance when you have knowledge in Sales and Marketing, we know exactly when he applies the "methods" fix in the eye (probably set by a button on your forehead because he said he could not look someone in the eye he had to look over the nose), learn names everyone's heart and by addressing people by their first name etc.. etc.. So basically I can not take them seriously because I know I'm going to have basically the guy did you want to say, "stop your movie and talk to me normally, do not bother make your sales pitch, but hey if I do nothing else well, try anyway, so I could at least say later: "I told you so!".

Here for the adventure of the day.
Otherwise it was assumed to go into a bar in the Outback Birdsville in the middle of nowhere, no bowl position has already been filled, while the announcement n'a été mise en ligne qu'aujourd'hui. Allot. ca ca aurait été une vraie expérience de l'Australie.

German

Today I had my first Australian interview. I must say it was very unusual, I thought it would be something more traditional, one or two people with whom you should talk example No, when I arrived there have been at least 20 people waiting. The "guru", he calls himself "Leader" then calls every 10 people in the room.
Wunderbar! Everyone introduced himself and then target the candidates: tell so much interesting stuff as possible, but the others do not fall into the word, even not so easy! Apparently I have

probably at least leave an impression, I was called tonight by this company, but unfortunately I left my phone in the hotel leave tomorrow so I need to call back.

Well in any case, this whole idea of our "Guru" a little tiring when you have proven marketing and business courses at the university we know of where one is actually taken to the cleaners.
So, if you read between the lines: they are looking for some nice people who'll put them on the road to some "charity" stuff to sell.
is supposed to be easy, because the donations, the Australian deduct from their taxes, that is practically a "win-win" situation, they help poor animals die in front, but give basically no money on it, because they get it back from the state. Yeah I think I get the baby determined sold! :)
The more you sell, the more coal. I just hope that someone else calls me before and I get any alternative choice.
the job I had until now not yet, but with my luck ...

Otherwise, we have both applied in a pub in the outback. Outback means: in the middle of nowhere that is right next to the desert on the left. Unfortunately, the place was already taken, a pity, that would have been be fun ...

How To Keep The Strings On My Moccasins

CHAPTER 6 – HOP ON-HOP OFF – 2009-04-16

French

Yesterday we experienced the famous hop on - hop off. This brings back memories for some, because not even remember in Luxembourg City we have the famous bus that takes you around the city and makes you visit the most beautiful corners.

So I confirm once again Sydney is truly a beautiful city, we moved uptown, and it is a dream, huge houses near beach with private pool etc..
... We made a stop at Watson Bay ( see photos), from which we had a magnificent view over the sea Well, it certainly does is not the Northern Beaches! ;) But the temperatures are that we tend to enjoy the beach a little more here!

Then we went up to Bondi Beach ... (see photos), yeah you can not miss it anyway! Very nice beach, surfers in every sense, a great environment. We did the Coastal Beach Walk up Bronthe (approx. 3.5 km) then we got back on the bus and return to Oxford Street. The after-noon is really passed very quickly and we took full eyes.

Today we visited the Police Museum was a bit less gay but at least now we know everything about the convicts! A tiny museum with a lot of things to read! People of the welcome super cool, yeah we began talking about a bit, we asked if by any chance they had a job, damn they had not. Grrr.

We also spend a lot of time on the internet when applying for jobs. Unfortunately there is not much right now and the little that there are filled by people with a permanent visa, which is quite normal. But we do not give up so fast! It still does a few days, even if it seems an eternity!

Deutsch

Gestern we have the famous hop on - hop off bus tried. Super practical, the bus is driving a whole by the city's most interesting sights. Here in Sydney there are 2 of the sort once the Bondi Explorer and the Sydney Explorer, for both of us had no time, so we have taken the Bondi Explorer.

I can only confirm Sydney is really a very beautiful city. We drove through the really trendy neighborhood, as one begins to dream of real, beautiful villas with private swimming pools, etc. was

Our first stop Watson Bay (see photos), here you have a crazy view of the sea and is is very small in front. Now but the North French beach is not bad ... just the weather here is a little bit better!

Next stop: Bondi Beach, clearly the most famous beach in Australia we just had to go visit. Very nice beach with lots of surfers. Afterwards we went to the Coastal Walk (approximately 3.5 km) to Bronthe Beach and from then on by bus to Oxford Street. And already the afternoon was around.

Today we visited the Police Museum, which was but a very serious issue, so we were a bit depressed when we got out there ... but still very interesting and very nice people at reception;) course we sometimes question if they have assigned to jobs there, bad luck once again ... Grrr.

Otherwise, we spend a lot on the Internet and are looking for a job. Unfortunately, there is currently very quiet and the few jobs that exist are given to the Australians, which is of course perfectly normal. We do not give up yet, there are after all only a few days ago when we started our search, there is only a fairly long time ago, especially when one is eagerly awaiting a job!

Pokemon-may Masterbates

French

We come to experience the Australian rain. The Fooo-bound. One drop is equivalent to about 5L, here with 5 drops so you're completely submerged. So our little rain in the north of France is not much. These showers are mostly at night, these days it is splendid weather, today we had very hot: 27 degrees, exactly what we wanted.

Otherwise we started the job search. Not evident here in Sydney. We learn now to go into smaller cities a bit, I avoid total outback, but apparently that's where the job is in the words. We'll see, this is only a few days we are looking for work.

We have also changed or sleeping place and found a hotel at the same price as a hostel, and you sleep much better! No springs in the odds and not making noise until Hippies teuteures. Here is the beginning of old age! We find young loud! Ouch.
The trip to the hotel however it was not cake! Already lugging suitcases through the streets is no fun, but get to a train station where there is no elevator or escalator with 25 kg of baggage each AC is even less. But it is not serious strong in the head!

Yesterday we visited the neighborhood "the Rocks", a small nice neighborhood near Circular Quay (Opera) with the oldest pub in Australia. See attached photos.

We also dropped in Macdo Internet, we're now in an internet cafe.

Here for the news! Not much, I know, but I would not hesitate to repost something, he has news. I would love to give you news of job! ;)

Deutsch

Wir Hatten gestern Australian rain. The Waaaahn-sense. In a drop of about 5 liters of it. With 5 drops you're soaked to the skin! Our European rain, however, is really a joke. We are lucky and it rains mostly at night, the last day we had really nice weather today as it was 27 degrees, because you can not complain, so we're finally get here.

We started a job have no place. That is not so easy here in Sydney. You answer us mainly that it is very quiet at the moment, we are looking mmmnaja have only been a few days. So easily we give it now but does not occur.

We have moved from the backpacker hotel and have a hotel found in approximately the same price range. What it's so nice to sleep in a bed where you do not hang the mattress springs in the ribs has! Hippies are celebrate all's not well at this hotel, a dream, as soon you get used to luxury! But that already know all the PJ and I like the luxury. However, it was not a luxury by the city to go with the luggage ... .. Especially when you land at a station with thousands of stairs and no elevator ... .. Ouch that was really exhausting.
But anyway we did it.

Yesterday we have the district looked at the Rocks. Very nice neighborhood with Australia's oldest pub, see photos.

We are now in an Internet café, because Macdonald's been a little stressful and the Internet slowly total.

So there the latest news, until next time!

CHAPTER 4 - SYDNEY

French

It has been 3 days since we are in Sydney. Backpacker's not our top top, not very clean and super noisy, luckily the city is great for them to escape the day. First evening and we arrived, I had the misfortune to inspect the sheets! Oh horror! Hair and cloth certainly not unique. I went to see the reception to ask for clean sheets. When I said that I found hair and hair in the bed, the girl replied: "oh really? this is not the kind of home. " Yeah, Yeah, this is so, we believe. When we see how the "household" is made is understood. Well it's cheap, does not that expensive should not rhyme with not clean ... We must still take 4 nights and after it is saved elsewhere. So the project coming days to decide where we want to go, if we stay in Sydney or if you start in another city. If we stay in Sydney will attempt to find a roommate as soon as possible, because the atmosphere backpackers: hair long dreadlocks and I see life in pink, peace and love etc.. we do not like too much.
Otherwise the city is really nice, we visited Oceanworld, Taronga Zoo and George Street with its shops (we did not buy anything, we expect to have a job), Darling Harbour (beautiful port with bars and restaurants ). So fingers crossed for something soon, because there are tons of things we'd do and it cost!!
Today is a holiday and we try to do the tracking for the job. We expect to see a temp agency to take the temperature of the moment. So
Perth is currently marquer of points .... La reflexion continue .... Rester à partir ou sur Sydney Perth. ... Suspense! Ci-joint quelques photos
pour partager avec vous nos impressions.

German

We are now in the last 3 days of Sydney. Our backpacker hotel is not so great: pretty dirty for my ideas and way too loud. The city is very large and there are many things to visit, our happiness! Then we need not sit all day in here. On the evening of our arrival, I had the bright idea to lift the covers and inspect it and the shock: hair, unfortunately, not only the kind you wear on your head ... usual. So I am now to the reception and asked for clean towels, as I told the lady she told me that my find, which is absolutely not normal. Heme heme, when you see how and what is being cleaned, you can quickly paint a picture of what is normal and what not! But no problem, we spend the last 4 paid nights here and then search for either a flat or fly to Perth. We do not yet know and which is fully discussed the coming days.
Otherwise Sydney is a very exciting city, we have Oceanworld, Taronga Zoo, George Street, Darling Harbour visited. This is a really basic, intense to look for work! To Sydney Fun to have to go shopping and make a right, you need money! So on!
Today is a holiday, but ever try to take some time finding employment agencies.
The probability that we will fly to Perth but is quite large! Here are a few photos.

CHAPTER - 3 - PORT MACQUARIE - IRON MAN - 05/04/2009 till 04.06.2009

Français

Bravo Olivier and Francis, good performance! Both finished the Iron Man of Port Macquarie in 11 hours and 8 minutes. We encouraged them as best we could. It was a very long day but extremely interesting, 1400 participants went to Port suffer.
The next day was very interesting too, I have never seen so many people limping in the same city! ;) However it is not surprising after 3.8 km swimming, 180.2 km bike ride and an end to a small marathon (42.2 miles), just that in one day! Really im-pre-SSIO-ing!
Fortunately there was only a little rain So we did not get too hot sometimes even a little cold because of the wind. However, last April 6 he had a wonderful time and we visited the city a bit. For the first time in my life I have seen pelicans swimming calmly in water. Fishermen threw them occasionally some fish and pelicans are the angels. In sum
Port is a very quiet and friendly town with super nice people. We were told it was a very small town, but there are still 50 000 people, not so small as this ....

Deutsch

Super Leistung und von Olivier Francois! Alle haben beide completed the Iron Man of Port Macquarie in 11 hours and 8 minutes, which are two very proud of themselves. We have encouraged all the time as good as it could. It was a long day but it was worth it when 1400 people watching Iron Man.
The next day was very interesting, I've never seen so many people limping through the city) But it's no wonder after 3.8 km swimming, 180.2 km bike ride and finally a small marathon (42.2 km), all in one day, that's really impressive!
The weather was on our side, it has rained only once, otherwise it was pretty cool. Yesterday, the 6th April, we finally had some sunshine, it was a beautiful Days and thus had the opportunity to visit the city a bit. For the first time in my life I have seen pelicans swimming calmly in water. From time to throw them a fish, an angler, this is of course convenient for the Pelican, then he does not so often to catch fish ...
port is a very beautiful city with 50 000 inhabitants. The people are very nice and helpful and are very happy about the tourists.

Cost Of Declawing A Cat In Ontario

CHAPTER 2 – FIRST SHORT VISIT OF SYDNEY HARBOUR AND THE FAMOUS OPERA – 04/04/09

Francais

's it I think I am! We saw the opera! We saw tons of Australians, who are also all very nice and speak with a funny accent. Very helpful, they even call them even if you need something! It changes from France or Germany I must say.
In the botanical garden in Sydney he even bats in a part of the park's trees are full of bats is very impressive, I expected everything but not that!
The plane to Port Macquarie went well, fatigue sets in, I have a little trouble getting the time difference. :)

German

Now I can finally believe that I am in Australia! We saw the opera in Sydney! We have talked with a few Australians, very nice people, one is immediately addressed if someone sees that you are looking for something. The Australian accent is really great, I've heard so much about this very special accent and it sounds simply fantastic. So far we have always understood the Australians, so as to say the Australians? No worries mate!
We also have visited the botanical garden next to the opera, a very nice park with a twist: there are bats there! Middle of the day hang in there bats in the trees! The madness, I could not believe my eyes!
The flight to Port Macquarie has gone well. Morning of the Iron Man
Hopefully I can sleep tonight, had to overcome a few problems ... the jet lag.

CHAPTER 1 – ARRIVAL IN SYDNEY – 04/04/09

Eh oui les Joies de l'avion ... corn nous avons quand même et sommes survécu arrived somewhat tired, which is quite natural when we spent so much time zones! Otherwise, the flight went very well, the Service at Emirates is pretty good.
As a new immigrant we drink good then this morning earl (Y) gray, is it not Eve) with pure sugar and pure Australian Australian milk, produced exclusively in Australia.
This morning we'll make a small port of Sydney, for the moment we have only seen the airport to the hotel so it's hard to believe that we have arrived. The weather was overcast, it's not very nice, however it was 23 ° to 21 degrees last night am eager to know what temperature it will today. The Northerner reflex is to say, "Damn, you saw he was covered must be really cold" nothing to do, even if it is ugly it is at least warm!
Tonight we are therefore party to arrive at Port Macquarie or Olivier will make his Iron Man, we are ready to support him on the way! GO OLIVER! I hope for him he will not arrive yesterday as heavy ...
Here, here our adventure begins unhurriedly, we try to get back to Australian time which is not evident with 10 hours shift schedule, it makes a lot anyway ...
Donc pas encore of kangourous J'en ai vu mais on a vu un Moineau à l'aeroport, J décevant corn les Palmiers dans la rue tout de même le moral remontent:)))
Á bientôt sur nos lignes, gros bisous à tous!

German

After traveling for 34 hours, we arrived in Sydney.
First of all I want to thank the parents who had the wonderful year of your child to fly me from Dubai to Sydney (17 hours flight), the child cried and screamed constantly. Well we survived the flight anyway J We are just something very, very, arrived very tired, because the noise made sleeping impossible.
stands today on the plan to visit very briefly Sydney so I can convince me that we are actually in Australia. Tonight we fly to Port Macquarie. Tomorrow is the Iron Man, and instead will support Olivier as good as it gets.
The weather today is not that great, it is cloudy and not very warm.
kangaroos So I have seen so far yet, but for a sparrow, well that was not such an event now;)
