I went today to see the Galerie Anatome exposure
Etienne Robial explains the general idea of the exhibition:
C ' is outside the traditional practices of publishing and bookselling that are created "Book Club": small bibliophile sold by subscription and given to readers / subscribers. No commercial appeal, no blankets and catchy gimmicks as: no windows! Only the choice of title and its author are critical in the purchase. This is the post-war and it is necessary to make available low cost funds literary publishing houses. To implement and realize these books, young designers (beginners), whimsical, restless, curious self-taught, heads of manufacturing but demanding unreasonable, typographers experienced, printers, bookbinders, inventors, designers: all fools of the printed word.
For 35 years I collect and look through the "club", my findings have staked and stimulated my work. I discovered not only the broad principles of good design and construction of a book, but all the ingredients and recipes harmonies graphic, visual and tactile.
I propose to present all this wealth and these findings at the Galerie Anatome, starting with the 271 books, posters, newsletters and paper packaging, the best book club, the club's most consistent, orchestrated by Massin who was the artistic director and principal leader from 1952 to 1963.

Sorry for the photos, but take good pictures on the phone with reflections in the windows, I know!
Expo is expected to last the entire month of February (?) And I invite you to spend, there are some really wonderful books of the 50s, amazing things because, as explained Robial, designers were truly free, rid of trade issues ...
